National Astronomical Research Institute (Public Organization) (Public Organization) (Public Organization) Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (Public Organization) reveals that November 8, 2022, a total lunar eclipse will occur. over the sky in Thailand corresponds to the night of Loy Krathong The full moon will appear brick red. In the early evening, since the moon emerges from the horizon at 17.44 – 18.41, for 57 minutes, it can be observed with the naked eye in all regions across Thailand
. On November 8, 2022, there will be a lunar eclipse. From about 15:02 – 20:56 (Thailand time) can be observed from many areas around the world, including Northern and Eastern Europe, Asia, Australia. North America parts of South America pacific ocean atlantic Indian Ocean, North Pole and parts of the South Pole
The moon will begin to enter the Earth's penumbra at 3:02 PM and move into the Earth's shadow. formed a partial lunar eclipse at 4:09 p.m. until entering Full lunar eclipse from 17.16 – 18.41 hrs., after which it will begin to leave the shadow to form a partial lunar eclipse. until entering the entire penumbra at 7:49 p.m. and leaving the world's penumbra until the end of the phenomenon at 8:56 p.m.
Mr. Suparerk added that For Thailand, on November 8, 2022, it falls on the night of the full moon. And also this year's Loy Krathong day. The moon will emerge from the eastern horizon at 5:44 PM, so the first phase of the phenomenon cannot be observed. and will begin to be visible during the total lunar eclipse can be observed with the naked eye in all regions of Thailand The eastern horizon from 5:44 PM onwards, which is the time of the full moon eclipse. The full moon will appear brick red until 6:41 p.m., a total duration of 57 minutes.
After that, the moon will begin to appear partially dented and slowly leaving the shadow of the Earth. Until entering the penumbra, the whole moon at 7:49 p.m., turning into a penumbra lunar eclipse that is hard to see. Because the brightness of the moon changes only slightly. And finally, the moon will be out of the Earth's penumbra at 8:56 p.m., ending this lunar eclipse phenomenon completely.
A lunar eclipse is a phenomenon where the Sun, Earth and Moon orbit in the same plane. with the Earth in the middle between the Sun and the Moon. Occurs only on the day of the full moon or during the 14-15 lunar eclipse, as the moon orbits through the shadow of the Earth leading into space. An observer on Earth would see the moon dented gradually until it entered the entire shadow. and began to see the moon dented again as the moon moved out of the earth's shadow
Special on the night of November 8, 2022, SDR organizes activities to observe the total lunar eclipse on the night of Loy Krathong. Meet at all 4 main observatories, namely Sirindhorn Astronomical Park, Mae Rim District, Chiang Mai Province and the Observatory Chaloem Phrakiat 7th Cycle Birthday Anniversary, Nakhon Ratchasima, Chachoengsao, Songkhla, from 18.00 – 22.00, free of charge. For more information call 081-8854353
For those who are interested in participating in activities in other areas across the country, the RRA, together with 560 schools in the network of astronomy learning opportunities, set up telescopes. and organize activities to observe this phenomenon as well Check out the observation points near your home at https://bit.ly/MemberList-NARIT-DobsonianTelescope2022
